Maya Animatable Render Region
It's not uncommon that the client asks for changes and you have to render the animation again.
And in some cases, you could get away if you render just a part of the whole image.
But sometimes the region of interest is moving over the screen.
That's when you wish to animate the render region.
This Maya script does this job.
Like in this case, that I was asked to remove the watch from the character. I just needed to render part of the image, but the arm is moving. So I've made an animated region to render only what I needed.
The render took just a fraction of the time it would take to render the full-frame.
Then, it was easy to merge the rendered region over the old rendering in much less time.
I hope this tool will help you too!
